We’re a little bit in awe of Mimi Thorisson. Not only is she a mother/step-mother to seven children and 14 (!!!) dogs, she also writes one of the most beautiful culinary blogs we have ever come across. Her debut cook book, A Kitchen in France, was published just before Christmas and we’ve been tucking into Confit de canard and Cherry clafoutis ever since.
Her tales from the Médoc leave you with not only a hunger for delicious French fare, but also with the desire to up-sticks and move to the French countryside.
From visits to the markets in St-Vivien-de-Médoc and Bordeaux to pictures of her perfectly rustic home; her blog and book are well worth a visit.
